Loved Oxcon

SO Oxcon has been and gone and I absolutely LOVED IT! Lots of neat little stalls and things. It was great being at a convention in the same town i was born in.

 
So, I got up on Friday, cleaned my room and soon, packed up to head to the hostel where I'd stay the night. After missing the bus twice due to forgetting something, I finally got on and sat back waiting for the journey back. 

I arrived safely and soon i got off and found the hostel but...I forgot my ID...oh great, it's like the time me and my DA friends were in London and checking in our hostel there was a nightmare...I.M.P EPISODE ANYONE? 

After getting my ID sorted out and texted to me on my phone, I was able to unpack my bags and settle down at the hostel, it's a real nice place and I could go there again whenever I need to get away. 
I went out in the evening with other Hostelers to the oldest pub in Oxford and there was a TV crew down there filming it, yeah it was odd. As it was getting late, I made my way back and rested off waiting for the first big day of Oxcon.

SATURDAY
I got up, had a quick coffee to cure my little hangover hahaa...and soon cleaned my teeth, did my makeup, grabbed my costume and slipped it on. Loads of heads were being turned during my stay and to be honest, it never bothered me one bit. I'm used to it and i love to be unique.
I went out the door with my wallet and bag and met up with my long time mate from college and we walked to the con together.

After waiting in the queue, we were in and browsed around and picked up lot of neat little goodies and met some nice cosplayers and con goers. People were wanting to take my picture and complimenting my costume and it just felt like London all over again. 

I met Colin Baker who gave me a hug, I'm not really a fan of Dr.Who but he was so funny and nice to talk to.  

Also got to have a photo-shoot. It was absolutely perfect and I have wanted to do this for a long time!  

Soon, I went back and washed off all my makeup and had a quick nap. I didn't stay long that day since my feet were already aching. After waking up, I went out for a lush dinner of sushi and noodles.  See why I love Oxford? There's no place in the town centre that isn't there, at least not to me. 

SUNDAY
So, it was the last day for me at the hostel, I got up, ate, put on my makeup again and soon was ready to go. I checked out of the hostel and met up with my good friend cosplaying as Tails.  

BEFORE I checked out, I got onto my tablet and saw that my pal Luke-the-F0x sent me a link to a Crash Bandicoot parody all animated beautifully. I quickly went into the lobby and filmed my reaction to it (still in costume xD) SEE VIDEO BELOW!

I can't really remember when I auditioned for this but ah well, was still great fun. Video was by . GO see his art, he's really good  


We had a real blast at Oxcon and I stayed longer. There was so much going on there. I got interviewed by camera crew from "NERDEMIC"  and got to commission this lovely artist known as for a sketch. Also got 3 adorable little keyrings cusom made for me that I commissioned including one of Meglif from I.M.P. BECAUSE WHY NOT? 

The whole day was wonderful, one or two little kids saw my cosplay and KNEW exactly who I was. THIS made me so happy since it's lovely to know that kids these days younger than 12 know who Crash Bandicoot is and it's Franchise.

One of the strangest things going on up there were people getting literally painted all over themselves...like with actual body paint and it was kind of weird almost. It's like artists were painting naked people...LITEREALLY! D: 

WELL! If this goes on again, I'm hiding from conventions for a while hahaa! 

OVERALL, had an awesome time and met loads of lovely people and the weather was perfect. I'm so going to Oxford Comic Con again next time, it was absolutely amazing! 

So...now I'm home again, I gotta pack up and leave again since I'm off to Bicester for a few nights for a trial seeing how i'll get on. If so, I'll be moving there in June. 

Also, got one more week till Morocco and I AM ABSOLUTELY BUZZING I CAN'T WAIT! 

I'll keep you all posted before I head off, but for now, I'm chilling out washing away the Oxcon blues.
